Job Description
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Java Developer to join our growing team in Hungary. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of robust enterprise software systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, solve complex technical challenges, and make a meaningful impact on our products and services. Main tasks:
- Develop, test, and maintain a Java application using core Java technologies like Springboot and React
- Design and implement REST APIs that meet business requirements and technical standards
- Collaborate with team members, business stakeholders, and product owners to analyze requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
- Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment
- Contribute to microservices architecture design and implementation, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues efficiently, supporting team members during error analysis
- Engage in Agile/Scrum rituals including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate on database design and optimization using SQL databases
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience developing enterprise software systems using core Java technologies
- Proficiency with Spring frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Boot) and related technologies
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres)
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline implementation (GitLab CI or similar)
- Demonstrated understanding of microservices architecture principles
- Ability to design and implement REST APIs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Experience with version control systems and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with software testing and debugging practices
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Terraform and / or Ansible
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven
- Experience with Postgres databases
- Knowledge of Java 21 or recent Java versions
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts
- Previous experience working in cross-functional Scrum teams
