Job Description
PURPOSE
Develops new and maintain existing source code of applications in Java programming language based on requirements of internal or external customers. These applications support automation of business processes of the Reselling services like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV etc,. Works independently or in project team on developing and building midsize and complex application for customer usage. Handles all phases of software development lifecycle by himself, especially for midsize applications, provides professional support in the field of deep system analysis, technical documentation, building related infrastructure for developed application by prototyping, research. Performs role of lead development architect, substitutes the role of project manager in case of small or midsize software projects, serves as professional mentor
THE BUSINESS AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The PSB Hub manages billing, collections, and accounting functions for partnering, business, wholesale, and accounting value streams. It handles B2B billing, verifies TDG invoices with partners, and serves business customers and wholesale clients. Comprised of 13 teams, the Hub works closely with business units to drive customer impact, focusing on cloudification, system modernization, and agile practices.
The SK PSB Team is responsible for planning, product development, application operation, and DevOps of Reselling services.
The Service Delivery Platform (SDP) application is the backbone for partner connectivity, handling identity management, online payments, subscription services, and more across all Deutsche Telekom European markets. SDP empowers partners like Netflix, Disney, Google, and Apple to integrate seamlessly, so Telekom customers can subscribe to services or make purchases directly via their Telekom bill.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Listen to user requests, consult with internal /external customers, project managers, assist in gathering requirements for preparation of application detailed feature specification as necessary basis of quality and functional application
- Analyze of customer’s requirements and propose overall application / framework design of midsize application architecture (incl. interfaces, relation database structure), provide complex business analysis in order to build application functionality easy for maintenance and future extension according to customer needs as business intelligent solution that implements business processes in automated form
- Provides project estimates, timeline like total number of development hours, total number of testing hours and bug fixing and report it to customer for budget planning in advance
- Implements customer’s requirements based on specification in selected object oriented programming language (JAVA) into functional and user friendly application to meet customer’s needs
- Provides testing of programmed functionality before deployment in order to avoid bugs and ensure quality of code
- Implements security concept according to PSA policy in developed application to ensure accordance with DTAG standards
- Write and update regularly complex technical / system documentation (e.g. Authorization concept) for success of penetration tests and also for official handover to operation process, also create analytical documentation incl. UML for other programmers and customer
- Communicate project status and deliverables to managers, customer with efficiency and accuracy of any progress or delays to keep them informed and let them be ready for managerial decision and project’s adjustment in advance
- Maintain application on 2nd, 3rd level support by fixing bugs and regular check, programming updates of features on customer’s change request to satisfy customer needs and to ensure smooth running of the application with added value
- Record spent time daily in transparent way to have basis for invoicing for customer and Controlling department purpose
- Perform deploy on infrastructure, backup and restore procedures, handle release management in order to provide regular upgrades of software to have up to date features implemented according to agreement with customer
- Performs a full software migration, incl. infrastructure hints how to build a production environment suitable for smooth running of the application
- Contributes to knowledge base of developers / users within the company by trainings in order to reduce future effort on 1st, 2nd level application support
- Makes proposals for optimization of processes, participates in process documentation creation
- Proactively manages problem solving, root cause analysis and proposes solution to avoid problems in a future
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by higher management (e.g. official presentations)
- Manages complex project tasks assigned to him or group of developers, timelines and communication
- Mentor of junior developers
- Provides technical trainings for different users, other developers (e.g. SharePoint sites administrators workshops) if required
Qualifications
YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:
- have education of Information technologies – Bachelor’s degree
- have experiences with ICT System - 5+ years
- have experiences with HW/SW Overview – Advanced
- have experiences with General IT Overview – Advanced
- have experiences with programming – Advanced skills with Java 21, SpringBoot
- are communicative, team player and have analytical thinking
- speak English – Upper intermediate (B2)
- have advanced knowledge of software development methodology (e.g. Agile, Waterfall), Rabbit MQ, MySQL, OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Cucumber, Git, Maven
- have advanced skills with monitoring tools like Graylog and Grafana and proven skills with SSH, SSL/TLS, WSDL, Oauth2, OpenAPI, REST
- experienced in UML and overview about application servers and databases, custom forms, workflows programming.

Salary
Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€ /brutto.
