Job Description

The Deputy Product Owner is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery and ongoing operational stability of the Workplace Services Hardware implementation within the ServiceNow environment. This role requires a hybrid approach, encompassing product ownership, financial accountability, architectural oversight, and team leadership to build and maintain a stable, efficient, and self-managing Scrum team.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand, Defect, and Technical Management

  • Be accountable for managing and delivering demands and defects (bugs) related to the implementations.
  • Own and be accountable for fulfilling and resolving related Demands/Defects.
  • Establish and maintain a process for systematic issue and defect handling.
  • Deliver architectural solutions based on defined business needs.
  • Develop user stories and manage deployment activities (acting as a Team Leader).
  • Lead deep investigations in response to operational risk, setting up a development-test-release circle, and engaging the testing team.

Financial Management and Governance

  • Manage the financial aspects of the team, including Forecast, monthly control, and tracking revenue vs. cost.
  • Handle demand charging versus the team cost, and report financial status to the Commercial Manager.
  • Lead communication and reporting to stakeholders and management.
  • Coordinate and establish collaboration processes with internal teams (Operations, Global team, Platform team, Interface and Charging, etc.).
  • Manage Backlog prioritization and refinement, specifically due to the program, and prepare reports.
  • Lead communication on the Global service level for risk forecasting, common solution building, critical demands prioritization, and problem-solving in urgent situations.

Team Leadership and Methodology

  • Build and maintain a stable, efficient, self-managing Scrum team.
  • Contribute to team resource planning and execution, including candidate selection and interviews.
  • Demonstrate confidence to test services end-to-end (e2e) to identify defects and demo features (acting as a Team Leader).
  • Participate actively in the project cycle methodology, including daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective (waterfall-agile hybrid model).

Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

  • Project Management and Agile development skills ( experience or certification such as Prince 2, PMI, or Agile Scrum Master).
  • ITIL experience or certification.
  • Overall ServiceNow background (CSA/CIS certifications are nice to have, but not mandatory).
  • Fluent English.
  • Professional and friendly communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • People management skills, building trust, positivity, honesty, and motivating team members.
  • Problem-solving skills.
