Job Description
At Devoteam, we deliver innovative technology consulting for leading organizations across Europe and beyond. As a Google Cloud Premier Partner, we support our clients in their digital transformation journeys by designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions.
We are expanding our Cloud & Data team and are looking for a Principal Cloud Architect to join us and lead the design of complex cloud architectures for enterprise clients across various industries.
Your main duties and responsibilities:
As a Principal cloud Architect you will act as a trusted technical advisor for our customers, shaping cloud strategies and translating business requirements into robust Google Cloud solutions. You will also serve as a Technical Lead for your fellow Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers, providing hands-on expertise to team members and clients alike.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and own end-to-end Google Cloud migrations and architectures
- Guide and mentor team members, serving as an SME and knowledge contributor to the wider global Google Cloud practice
- Manage presentations and direct communication with clients, bridging the gap between customers and delivery teams
- Provide technical leadership during presales activities, workshops, and client presentations.
- Create detailed architecture documentation and solution designs.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and cost-optimization requirements.
Qualifications
Must be
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or cloud consulting roles.
- Strong experience designing solutions on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience leading enterprise workload migrations to public cloud environments.
- Experience implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
- Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking including VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and security controls.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present architecture solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
- Fluent English.
You will be a great fit for this role if you have…
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification, or equivalent
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Hands-on experience leading large data warehouse and infrastructure migrations between on-prem and Cloud(s)
