Diesel Laptops

We started Diesel Laptops in 2015 to provide solutions for commercial truck and heavy equipment repair shops. We offer diagnostic hardware and software, technician training, technical repair information, and parts information. Our diagnostic tools give dealer-level functionality for on-highway, off-highway, agriculture, marine, and automotive industries.

We operate four divisions:

• Diesel Laptops provides diagnostic tools and related services.
• Diesel Repair is a web and mobile platform with repair information like fault codes, wiring diagrams, component locators, labor time guides, recalls, and technical service bulletins.
• Diesel Parts is a free platform for looking up commercial truck parts.
• Diesel Training delivers continuing education for diesel technicians through in-classroom, online, and field programs.

Our key products include our diagnostic software, Diesel Explorer, and hardware like the Diesel Handheld Heavy-Duty Scan Tool and Diesel Scope. Our U.S.-based technical support department consists of diesel technicians and IT professionals who provide assistance in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese. We handle over 80,000 calls and 10,000 chats each year.

We launched TruckFaultCodes.com in 2017, followed by Diesel Repair and Diesel Parts in 2020. In 2023, Diesel Parts and Diesel Repair merged into a single platform. We also launched Diesel University, an online training platform, in 2023.

Our mission is to provide products and services that help technicians and repair facilities diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently. We aim to reduce downtime and improve profitability for our clients. We have between 51 and 200 employees, hiring our 200th employee in June 2022. We create a collaborative and innovative work environment where we value our team members and encourage their growth. The Technical Support team comprises certified IT experts and diesel technicians with extensive experience. This team is U.S.-based and offers multilingual assistance.
