About the Role:
We are seeking a senior SAP Procurement leader to guide and evolve our clients’ end-to-end procurement technology landscape across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba. This role is strategic, hands-on, and highly consultative. You will shape solution design, lead enhancements, mentor functional analysts, and partner closely with business stakeholders to optimise procurement operations. You will serve as the trusted expert across MM, P2P, S/4HANA, and Ariba, ensuring robust architecture, scalable processes, and alignment with enterprise standards. This role suits someone who is both technically deep and commercially sharp, capable of driving best practice in an Agile, product-focused delivery model.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Act as the functional lead across SAP Procurement (MM, P2P, S/4HANA, Ariba), steering solution design and configuration
- Design, configure, and improve procurement processes including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, and service procurement
- Lead architecture discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise principles, integration requirements, and industry best practices
- Mentor L1 and L2 analysts and guide service provider teams across BAU, ITIL processes, and SAP solutioning
- Shape the procurement technology roadmap and identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and digital uplift
- Oversee integration between SAP modules and with non-SAP platforms such as Ariba, Finance, and Asset Management
- Partner with Product Owners to manage Agile backlogs, define user stories, and prioritise enhancements based on business value
- Drive continuous improvement, embedding Agile ways of working and supporting procurement squads
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, defining functional requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Provide leadership across releases, upgrades, testing cycles, and cutovers
- Deliver reporting and analytics insights using SAP tools and Ariba dashboards
Your qualifications and experience:
- 15+ years of deep experience in SAP Procurement / P2P, including extensive S/4HANA configuration
- Hands-on SAP Ariba expertise in at least one module (Sourcing, Contracts, Buying and Invoicing, Supplier Management)
- SAP S/4HANA Procurement certification
- Proven experience in Agile delivery, Scrum, or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor management, category management, and service procurement
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication capability, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Ariba Network integrations or non-SAP integration points is highly valued
- Familiarity with Fieldglass is an advantage
- Ability to coach junior analysts and uplift capability across a wider team
