About the role:
The Associate Research Analyst leverages internal data, key secondary and primary sources, and core research methods to build and validate market estimates in a standardized, transparent, and efficient way. They play a critical role in developing accurate and insightful data by conducting meticulous research across available sources—and synthesizing findings to reflect current market consensus.
This role has a focus on the Beauty and Fashion industries and is a fantastic opportunity to join the Research division at Euromonitor in a truly global, collaborative role. You’ll be working with global research teams and in country analysts for a variety of different projects.
What you’ll be doing:
Reviews public domain data such as national statistics, trade data, and industry reports, ensuring relevance and accuracy for market estimates.
Manipulates internal Euromonitor data such as price tracking and digital share of shelf to build granularity into data estimates
Builds global and regional company profiles to be used in company and brand data calculations
Works with forecasting specialists to adapt models for regional markets and flags conflicts, validates results against primary research
Identifies relevant sources and critically evaluates information, recognizes gaps in research and takes logical steps to find the necessary information through targeted research.
Commissions in-country analysts for targeted primary research to fill information gaps and provide local insights. Oversees daily management of ICAs, owning the communication, querying and related admin tasks.
Responsible for data checks throughout data manipulation. Runs quality control and provides detailed explanations on sources and data triangulation and the why behind the numbers.
Analyses datasets and manipulates them as needed to create meaningful category/country estimates, as well as monitoring, reviewing, and cleaning up data for internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining records and resolving quality issues
Provides explanations and defends our research approach to clients when called upon to do so
Collaborates with local specialists on basic interactions with clients to build and sustain engagement
How you’ll do it:

Proficiency in English (with other languages an advantage), combined with a high level of numeracy and the confidence to engage trade sources for additional insights
Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, experience of tools such as Power BI and Tableau an advantage.
The advertised gross monthly pay range for this role is: 24000 - 27000 Euros / Year
