We provide Managed Detection & Response (MDR) security services. Our approach uses human expertise supported by AI to operate within your existing security tools, without needing new agents or forced tool changes. Our AI filters out 99.9% of security alert noise, allowing our analysts to focus on real threats. We respond to high-severity incidents in under 20 minutes.
We offer the Expel Workbench™ platform, which gives you visibility into alerts, investigations, and response actions. Our services also include managed phishing, incident validation and notification, remediation guidance, advanced threat detection, and 24⁄7 monitoring, investigation, and response for security devices.
Expel was founded in 2016. The Expel Workbench and our first customer came in June 2017, and our managed phishing service launched in October 2020. We expanded to EMEA in October 2022 and relaunched our partner program in September 2023. In the Forrester Wave™ MDR Services, Q1 2025 report, we were named a Leader with strong ratings for cloud and identity detection, dashboards, reporting, and our roadmap.
