About the Role

The Data Scientist Level 2 is an individual contributor within the Global Business Intelligence team, responsible for delivering data science solutions that support commercial, product, and revenue operations initiatives, from problem framing and analysis to implementation within defined scopes.

In this role, you apply statistical analysis and modeling to solve defined business problems, develop analytical and predictive models, and translate results into actionable insights. You work closely with BI analysts to operationalize model outputs into regular reporting that enables consistent, data-driven decision-making that support sales efficiency, revenue growth, retention, and product feature adoption.

You collaborate with BI analysts, data engineers, product managers, commercial and revenue operations stakeholders, and are expected to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a hands-on role supported by guidance and review from a Senior Data Scientist.

To be successful in this role, you bring strong foundations in statistical analysis and modeling, experience applying data science in a business context (preferably B2B software or tech), and the ability to communicate insights clearly through data storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver data science solutions based on business requirements from the initial idea-generation phase to implementation with limited supervision.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive models to support revenue growth, retention, and product adoption, and partner with BI analysts to operationalize insights into management reporting.
  • Partner with commercial, product, and revenue operations stakeholders to support decision‑making by applying relevant statistical data analysis and modeling methods.
  • Work independently on data consumption, cleaning, and feature preparation using established data pipelines and tooling.
  • Collaborate with data engineering on data availability, quality, and modeling needs within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Support the design and interpretation of quantitative experiments to evaluate the business impact of product features and commercial initiatives, and recommend improvements.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations that enhance sales efficiency and product improvements.
  • Contribute to data science best practices by staying current with relevant tools and techniques, and actively participate in knowledge sharing within the BI team.
  • Ensure analytical outputs are reproducible, well-documented, and validated through peer review.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of direct professional experience in a Data Scientist role, specifically focused on modeling and advanced analytics, preferably in a B2B software or tech environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and predictive modeling; experience with experimentation is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of core statistical methods and working experience with common machine learning techniques (e.g., decision trees, random forests, clustering, time series).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Working knowledge of data management concepts (data pipelines, workflows, data modeling).
  • Experience collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams in cross-functional environments is a plus.
  • Strong storytelling skills with data for technical and non-technical audiences; ability to distill insights to what matters most.
  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Plotly).
  • Exposure to CRM and commercial datasets (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Agile mindset, bias for action, and focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of driving clarity in complex situations, specifically when navigating shifting priorities across cross-functional teams.

This will be a hybrid role with in-office expectations.

This position is open to candidates located in Europe who are willing to relocate to the Netherlands.

Benefits

  • Global leave benefit
    • 22 weeks paid parental leave
    • 2 weeks paid grandparent leave
    • Extended care and bereavement leave
    • Life insurance policy
  • Pension Plan
  • Central Amsterdam Location

  • Working in a multicultural environment - 45 different nationalities
  • Commuting allowance for public transport & subsidized lunch
  • Wellness benefits (Headspace subscription & wellness webinars)
  • Hybrid friendly
  • Work-from-home assistance
  • Educational Opportunities
  • Social hours & events and team-building
