About the Role

At FareHarbor, we believe learning is a key driver of our business success, and we’re looking for a Senior Learning & Development Specialist to take our learning culture to the next level.

As a Senior L&D Specialist, you will serve as a trusted advisor and lead practitioner, owning end-to-end learning experiences, driving innovation, and elevating FareHarbor’s approach to enablement. You’ll collaborate with key business stakeholders, HRBPs, and senior leaders to translate organizational needs into measurable learning outcomes that align with business goals and our values.

What you’ll do here:

  • Own, create, and evolve flagship L&D programs (e.g., onboarding, leadership development, trainer enablement, professional development) with strategic intent, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and culture.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive learning solutions leveraging instructional design best practices, adult learning theory, and a blended learning methodology across modalities (instructor-led, virtual, on-demand).
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives by conducting needs assessments, facilitating alignment across stakeholders, and driving execution across regions and teams.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and impact, provide recommendations, and implement iterations as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior L&D team members, contributing to team growth through feedback, coaching, and informal leadership.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, leadership development, and adhoc training sessions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and platforms, evaluating and implementing third-party solutions where needed.
  • Champion innovation by researching, testing, and scaling new tools, technologies, and frameworks that enhance the learner experience.
  • Embed Inclusion principles into learning design and delivery, creating inclusive, accessible, and culturally relevant learning journeys.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPTD, ATD, SHRM) is a plus.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in L&D, instructional design, or talent development - preferably within a tech, SaaS, or global organization.
  • Proven success designing, delivering, and scaling high-impact learning programs across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles, behavior change models, and instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate effectiveness and tell compelling stories of impact.
  • Proficiency in LMS administration (e.g., Seismic, Docebo) and digital content tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Canva, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across seniority levels and functions.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental + vision coverage
  • 26 vacation days, 10 sick days & 12 paid holidays per year
  • Global leave benefit
    • 22 weeks paid parental leave
    • 2 weeks paid grandparent leave
    • Extended care and bereavement leave
    • Life insurance policy
  • 401k + employer matching
  • Social hours & events and team-building
  • Educational Opportunities
  • Wellness benefits (Headspace subscription & wellness webinars)
  • Work-from-home assistance
  • Hybrid friendly
  • Paid volunteer hours
