For our Lugano Branch, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong and proven expertise in the Banking / Financial Services domain.

The selected candidate will be involved in complex international IT projects, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment and acting as a key interface between business and technology.

Activities and Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, control, and monitor end-to-end IT projects within the Banking domain
• Handle IT project delivery and service transition initiatives in complex, regulated environments
• Prepare, present, and discuss project status reports with internal teams, clients, and senior stakeholders
• Ensure project execution in compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and IT governance frameworks
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; proactively anticipate requirements and define mitigation actions
• Ensure project delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and available capacity
• Validate project outcomes against business, functional, and technical requirements
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring effective stakeholder and expectation management

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager in the Banking / Financial Services sector
• Proven background in IT project delivery within banking environments (core banking, payments, cards, digital banking, regulatory projects, etc.)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent
• Strong project planning, controlling, and monitoring skills
• Excellent ability to prepare, review, and present project/program status reports
• Solid stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior management and C-level
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
• Fluent in English and Italian (both required)
• Good knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum / Agile delivery in banking contexts

Location Requirement:

• We do not offer a fully remote work policy
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino (Switzerland) or Italian Border Towns (such as Como, Varese, etc.)
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client’s policy
