Your Mission
Based in Saintes (Belgium) and overseeing flows from our Austrian Distribution Centre, you will lead all transport activities across the Central & Eastern Europe region. Your role is pivotal in ensuring reliable, cost‑efficient, compliant, and scalable transport operations that support our rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the CEE transport strategy aligned with cost, service, sustainability, and scalability targets.
- Design and optimise regional transport networks, lanes, and cross‑border flows.
Carrier Management
- Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiations, and performance management of carriers.
- Drive cost‑to‑serve optimisation and ensure strong operational partnerships.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily transport activities and ensure robust processes, continuous improvements, and efficient KPI performance (OTIF, cost per shipment, CO₂ intensity, claims rate).
- Implement new tools and systems to support data‑driven decision making.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strong compliance across all CEE transport activities (customs, Incoterms, POUS, CBAM, CO₂ reporting, SENT, EKAER, UIT, etc.).
- Anticipate and manage macroeconomic, regulatory, and geopolitical risks.
People Leadership
- Manage and develop a team of 3 transport employees and 6 drivers.
- Foster a high‑performance culture based on ownership, rigor, and collaboration.
Digital Transformation
- Lead the digitalisation of transport processes and support the rollout of future TMS and transport technologies.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Strong command of transport strategy levers: tendering, make‑or‑buy decisions, network optimisation, contingency planning.
- Proven experience managing KPIs and driving corrective action plans.
- Solid understanding of international and CEE‑specific transport regulations.
- IT‑fluent, with experience in TMS systems and digital transformation projects.
- Languages: English and German (minimum B2) required. French or Dutch are a plus.
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or equivalent experience.
