YOUR IMPACT
The GALE Development Program is a one-year hands-on program that will set you upon the path of a career in Research and Data Products. You will learn how to translate business questions into research design, uncover consumer truths through data, and transform findings into actionable recommendations. You’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading research platforms and methodologies while working alongside experienced researchers on real client projects for major brands.
This program will start on June 2nd, 2026.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
- The one year program is split into two phases: the learning phase and the mentorship phase.
- During the learning phase, you will focus on learning the fundamentals of market research fundamentals, including survey design and scripting, quantitative and qualitative research platforms (such as Alchemer and UserTesting.com), syndicated research tools (like MRI Simmons and GWI), various research methodologies (from creative testing to pricing strategy), data cleaning and visualization, and presentation skills. The learning phase culminates with a capstone project which will test your skills and knowledge and highlight your areas of strength and improvement.

You have a natural curiosity about why people make the choices they do, and you’re excited to use research to uncover consumer motivations and behaviors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
First 3 months - Learning
Gain proficiency in essential research platforms, including our survey programming tool (Alchemer), qualitative research platform (UserTesting.com), and syndicated data sources (MRI Simmons, GWI)
Learn the fundamentals of survey design, questionnaire scripting, and quality assurance processes
Explore various research methodologies and when to apply them—from concept testing and brand tracking to pricing strategy and customer journey mapping
Develop key analytical skills including data cleaning, Excel-based analysis, data visualization best practices, and presentation storytelling
Shadow senior researchers to understand how insights are translated into strategic recommendations
Complete a capstone project that demonstrates your research skills and readiness for client work
Final 9 months - Mentorship
Work with your mentor and collaborate with the creative team to carry out dynamic client projects.
Build on your knowledge and skills across design, creative, and story.
Support the creative team on relevant workstreams – from design tasks to contributing ideas.
Monitor and flag social trends, and make recommendations on how to incorporate them into client work.
Learn new technologies and platforms, incorporating them to serve our client’s needs.
Manage competing priorities, deliverables, and timelines to exceed client expectations.
Create content in the style and voice of the clients

$58,000 - $58,000 a year
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target compensation for this role is $58,000 CAD per year. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, qualifications, job performance, level of experience, location, and business needs.
