About the Team
Our Engineering team builds the software platform that powers Gather AI’s warehouse intelligence products — from the customer-facing web portal to internal deployment tooling and the design system that ties it all together. Frontend is treated as a first-class engineering discipline here, with real influence over architecture, performance, and product quality. The team operates with high trust, short feedback loops, and direct visibility into the impact of every feature on real warehouse operations.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own meaningful product surfaces across our customer-facing web portal and internal tooling. You will work closely with our Frontend Lead, fullstack engineers, product, design, and QA to ship high-quality features, mature our component library, and raise the bar for frontend architecture and testing discipline across the team.
This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who brings strong opinions on component design, cares deeply about user experience, and wants to grow into technical leadership on a team where frontend craftsmanship is genuinely valued.
What You’ll Do
- Own one or more surfaces of the customer-facing web portal end-to-end — from architecture and implementation through delivery and iteration
- Contribute to and help mature the shared component library and design system, driving consistency across products
- Partner with backend engineers on API contracts and data-fetching patterns, ensuring clean, resilient frontend-backend integration
- Improve frontend performance through profiling, render optimization, and bundle management in production environments
- Establish and elevate testing culture — unit, integration, and E2E coverage as standard practice
- Collaborate closely with product and design to translate product intent into frontend execution with clarity and speed
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with production-grade React and TypeScript at scale
- Strong component architecture skills — able to design reusable, composable UI systems that scale across teams
- Deep understanding of state management patterns across server, client, local, and derived state (React Query, Redux, Zustand, or similar)
- Experience owning frontend API integration including error handling, resilience, and contract alignment
- Hands-on experience improving frontend performance in real production environments
- Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and E2E (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress)
Nice to Have
- Experience with or ownership of a design system or shared component library
- Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), internationalisation (i18n), or frontend observability tooling
- Domain experience in logistics, warehouse systems, or operations-facing software
- Mobile or React Native development experience
