Team Mission

Our FP&A team is all about empowering sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and data-driven insights, as a trusted business partner. As a key member of this team, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our strategy, leading planning efforts, and influencing critical financial decisions that propel our company toward its objectives.

Based in our Berlin headquarters and reporting directly to the Head of Marketplace Strategy & Tech FP&A, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting strategy, operations, and finance - translating our ambitious plans into measurable goals and ensuring our investments drive sustainable growth. Working closely with our Corporate Strategy team, business leaders and the C-Suite, you’ll shape how we make critical decisions about where and how we invest. This role offers significant exposure to executive decision-making and the opportunity to shape how a fast-growing travel tech leader allocates resources and measures success.

Your Mission

  • Strategic Direction and Business Support: Provide critical support and challenge to the company-wide strategy process. Partner with Corporate Strategy and business leaders to refine strategic priorities, connecting strategy, operations, and finance. Translate strategic initiatives into financial implications to shape where and how we invest.
  • Performance Measurement and KPI Framework: Lead how we measure operational success across the organization. Partner with initiative leaders to define KPIs and targets that translate strategic goals into measurable financial impacts. Drive continuous improvement of the KPI framework, establishing monitoring and reporting mechanisms to review performance at the highest levels and ensure integration into planning and budgeting.
  • Capital Allocation and Investment Analysis: Evaluate and improve how we allocate capital by developing and implementing rigorous frameworks. Provide strategic recommendations for managing our portfolio of investments, assessing returns, and identifying trade-offs to drive sustainable growth and optimal resource allocation.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a strategic financial advisor to Product & Engineering teams, providing financial guidance for evolving business priorities. Align operational expenditures and financial strategies with company objectives, offering both support and constructive challenge to drive better outcomes.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Lead Payments and other Product-led forecast processes to deliver business-owned budgets that adapt to changing needs. Drive innovation in planning and forecasting by identifying key metric drivers and streamlining processes, enhancing business agility and foresight.

Your Toolkit

  • Experience: Significant experience (ideally 5-7 years) in FP&A, corporate strategy, management consulting, or a similar field within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. Exposure to strategic planning and capital allocation in high-growth environments is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial and strategic insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset with the ability to connect strategy, operations, and finance. Leverages data-driven insights and robust business acumen to influence key business decisions and drive organizational impact.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven mindset, with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and investment analysis. Able to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: A proactive and collaborative approach to driving work forward, with a focus on fostering teamwork and achieving impactful results in dynamic, cross-functional environments. Ability to build trust and influence without direct authority.
  • Personal Attributes: Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, tenacity and a passion for problem-solving. Comfort with ambiguity and openness to learning new tools and approaches as the role evolves. Ability to challenge conventional thinking constructively.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture and database querying (e.g., SQL) preferred. Proficiency in financial modeling and standard business tools (Google Suite, MS Office), with experience in ERP or CPM systems highly beneficial.
