This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This is a strategic business development role that will focus on a combination of sales and account management activities for the Brand Safety Alliance initiative (BSA), a GoDaddy Registry initiative that helps brands protect themselves online through innovative products and services, such as GlobalBlock. The team is comprised of a Director and 5 direct reports. This is an individual contributor role that manages all external registry relationships and contracts.

A successful candidate will identify new growth opportunities for the Brand Safety Alliance, primarily through the acquisition of resellers/agents and registry partners that are fundamental to the success of our products. Once a new sales channel is established, a successful candidate will own and nurture it.

What you’ll get to do…

  • Identify, establish, and manage traditional and non-traditional sales channels within the domain industry, including acquisition of resellers, agents, and registry partners to drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct customer prospecting, create strategic targeting plans, identify new market segments, and complete outreach initiatives to meet or exceed benchmarks and sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and clients, providing expert-level product knowledge, second-level support, regular account planning, performance management, and tailored training programs.
  • Contribute to new product development and market expansion by using customer feedback, industry insights, and market analysis to identify new features, capabilities, and partnership opportunities.
  • Lead all aspects of contractual agreements, manage customer negotiations, maintain CRM data integrity, develop sales collateral and presentations, and provide mentoring support to Account Management team members.
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of the domain name industry to identify revenue opportunities, assist in strategic decision-making, and contribute to marketing, communications, and PR initiatives to enhance brand recognition.
  • Support sales initiatives for ICANN new TLD rounds and continuously discover new sales surfaces while strengthening existing channels for the Brand Safety Alliance.

Your experience should include…

  • 5+ years experience relating to sales, account management or product management within the domain name industry with extensive relationships in place today.
  • Ability to establish deep and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to drive engagement, launch products, close deals, and to oversee flawless execution on committed deliverables.
  • Ability to work flexibly to accommodate a range of time zones is required due to the locations of our customers. Out of traditional business hours work will be required on a weekly basis.
  • Flexibility to travel is integral to this role. You may attend ICANN and/or INTA meetings in addition to other client related travel.

  • Fluent in languages in addition to English is helpful but not essential.
