At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. This role is for the GoDaddy Capital team in India. GoDaddy Capital empowers small business owners by providing fast and accessible working‑capital solutions that help them grow and thrive. Our platform enables merchants to qualify for, access, and manage cash advances seamlessly—while upholding rigorous risk, credit, and compliance standards. We are building a world‑class lending platform that balances frictionless customer experiences with strong underwriting and risk management. What you’ll get to do…
- Build high‑performance APIs and backend interfaces that power the full lending lifecycle — eligibility, applications, underwriting, disbursement, and repayment
- Collaborate closely with Product, Risk, and Engineering teams to design scalable solutions for loan origination and credit workflows
- Ensure platform reliability by improving code quality, writing robust tests, and partnering with QA to streamline releases
- Participate actively in the full development lifecycle — design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support — within an agile environment
- Balance long‑term engineering health with customer needs, while shaping architectural decisions and contributing to a compliant, user‑friendly lending experience
Your experience should include…
- Full‑stack engineer with 3+ years of hands‑on experience in JavaScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Ember)
- Strong background in building scalable, high‑performance web applications, with solid expertise in MySQL and Elasticsearch
- Deep understanding of core engineering fundamentals, including OOP, JavaScript internals (scope, closures, event loop), async patterns, and promises
- Experience with modern engineering workflows, including build systems, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and clean code practices
You might also have…
- Prior experience with fintech, lending, or capital/credit products
- Prior experience with payments platforms and financial services
- Prior experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Familiarity with risk management, underwriting systems, or compliance workflows
