About Houseful

We are a software development company that operates several brands, providing residential property software, data, and insights. We renamed our wider business Houseful to reflect the range of our brands and their connected capabilities. We aim to help everyone make better property decisions.

We are organized into three main businesses: Zoopla, Alto Software Group (ASG), and Hometrack (which includes Calcasa).

Zoopla connects consumers with homes. It offers personalized experiences, home information, expertise, and recommendations for moving, managing, and financing homes based on data. Businesses, including estate agents and home builders, use Zoopla’s brands and audience insights to market homes, attract new customers, and promote home services. Zoopla gets over 60 million visitors monthly and lists over 500,000 homes for sale and rent. PrimeLocation.com, part of Zoopla, is an online site for luxury properties, with over 8 million monthly visitors looking for homes in the UK and more than 60 other countries.

The Alto Software Group provides software that connects businesses and consumers, handling over half of all UK housing transactions each year. Our solutions improve efficiency, speed up transactions, reduce risk, improve customer experiences, and help with regulatory compliance and business growth. Alto’s open APIs integrate with other platforms in lending, conveyancing, and prop-tech. Alto is a CRM software for estate and letting agents, managing sales, lettings, client accounting, and property management. We launched Alto Marketplace in 2022 for prop-tech integrations. Jupix, started in 2006, is a cloud-based estate agency CRM that unifies sales, lettings, property management, client accounts, and website functions for agents. Yourkeys is a transaction network that links consumers, estate agents, and housebuilders with conveyancers, mortgage brokers, surveyors, and lenders to simplify transactions.

Hometrack provides data and risk solutions for the UK mortgage lending and property industries. Our Calcasa business offers similar services in the Dutch market. Hometrack speeds up underwriting, improves risk management, and helps consumers understand valuations and property risk. 18 of the top 20 lenders in the UK use our valuation and risk management solutions. Hometrack is a leading provider of automated valuations (AVMs), delivering 50 million valuations yearly. Calcasa offers automated valuations and detailed statistical analysis of real estate for mortgage and real estate companies in the Netherlands, serving most Dutch banks. Calcasa recently launched Desktop Taxatie®, a hybrid desktop valuation solution.

Mission & Values

Our mission is to help everyone make better property decisions. We believe a more connected property market leads to better home choices, experiences, and businesses. We commit to balancing progress with care, empathy, and ethical values, prioritizing our responsibilities to people, the planet, and investors.

We operate based on six core behaviors: Know your audience (listening and using evidence and empathy to understand audiences); Reimagine (using curiosity and insight to simplify and improve experiences); Own it (being responsible, reliable, and accountable for deliverables); Build together (collaborating, sharing openly, and combining diverse skills); Set the bar higher (being ambitious, continually improving, and balancing speed with care); and Be the change (showing up as a positive influence, acting authentically, inclusively, flexibly, and vulnerably to build an inclusive environment).

Team & Culture

We have 501-1000 employees. We foster a culture where everyone is welcome. All individuals matter to us, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, or length of time spent unemployed. We are committed to improving representation across our industry and especially welcome applications from female and non-binary candidates, as well as those from underrepresented ethnic identities.

Our application process is equitable. We take steps to remove unconscious bias during shortlisting and focus on “culture add” over “culture fit.” We ask candidates about any adjustments needed for interviews, and new hires get an onboarding process to help them settle in. We encourage employees to grow their skills alongside colleagues, supporting them to take on new challenges. We support employees in volunteering for causes, fundraising for charities, and mentoring. We offer flexibility through “Everyday Flex,” giving you more control over your work location and time. Some roles allow for hybrid work with specific in-office days, while others are fully remote for UK-based candidates.

Benefits & Perks

We offer a range of employee benefits, including 25 days of annual leave (with additional days for years of service), a day off for volunteering, a Digital Detox day, and a Festive Closure period between Christmas and New Year.

We also provide cycle to work and electric car schemes, a free Calm App membership, enhanced Parental leave, and Financial Support for Fertility Treatment. Employees receive Group Income Protection and private medical insurance, and there’s an on-site gym in London.

Financially, we offer a 7.5% company pension contribution, a discretionary annual bonus up to 10% of base salary, and a talent referral bonus up to £5,000. For flexibility, we have “Everyday Flex,” giving you greater control over where and when you work. We also offer hybrid work arrangements, which can include specific in-office days or fully remote options for UK-based roles.
