We are now looking for a highly motivated Field Engineer to join our internal Defense team.
Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of defense-related equipment, including communication systems, surveillance systems, radar, and weapon platforms.
Provide on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics, ensuring minimal downtime of critical defense infrastructure.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational readiness of military assets.
Collaborate with technical teams, subcontractors, and defense personnel to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Support site surveys to assess feasibility and technical requirements for defense projects.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and military personnel to ensure smooth execution of field operations.
Monitor and report project progress, ensuring alignment with timelines and budget constraints.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Ensure adherence to NATO, EU, and Greek defense industry standards in all engineering activities.
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to maintain high security and safety standards.
Implement cybersecurity and operational security (OPSEC) measures for defense systems.
Maintain compliance with Greek Ministry of Defense (MoD) regulations and international defense agreements.
Provide technical training to military personnel and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
Offer on-site and remote support for deployed defense systems in high-security environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in field engineering, ideally in the defense, aerospace, or military industry.
Experience working on radar systems, military communications, surveillance, or weapons platforms is highly preferred.
Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and IT systems relevant to defense projects.
Knowledge of RF, radar, and communication systems used in military applications.
Familiarity with NATO defense standards (STANAG), MIL-STD specifications, and cybersecurity protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in remote and high-security environments.
Must be eligible to obtain or already possess security clearance (NATO Secret or equivalent).
Fluent in Greek and English (both written and verbal).
Willingness to travel to military bases and remote defense installations across Greece and internationally.
Ability to work in high-risk environments with strict adherence to military protocols.
Nice to have:
Prior experience in the Hellenic Armed Forces or defense contracting.
Knowledge of defense procurement processes and Greek MoD regulations.
Certifications in project management (PMP), cybersecurity, or defense technology.
