The Opportunity
InCharge Energy is seeking a highly organized Electrical Estimator to develop accurate estimates for EV charging and electrification rollouts. The position reports directly to the Senior Electrical Estimator.
What You’ll Do
- Work with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Project Managers to develop cost estimates for EV infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to review project scope, requirements, and technical specifications
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations to gather information required for accurate cost estimation
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material lists, and labor requirements for each project
- Use industry-standard estimating software and tools to produce accurate and competitive project estimates
- Research and analyze market rates, vendor quotes, and historical cost data to ensure cost-effective pricing
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids and pricing
- Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities within each project and communicate findings to the team
- Maintain and update cost databases to support efficient and accurate estimating
- Participate in project review meetings to provide cost insights and recommendations
Your Experience and Capabilities
- 7-10+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with an electrical contractor with prior electrical project management experience preferred
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure, including integration with solar projects, highly desired
- Hands-on field project management experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with cost estimating software and tools with ConEst preferred
- Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-growing startup environment
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Salesforce, Procore, or similar platforms a plus
- Journeyman Electrician required with Master Electrician highly preferred
US Salary Range
$80,000—$115,000 USD
