As a Concept Designer at Innovative Beauty Group (IBG), you translate client briefs into strong, on-brand concepts and visual stories that work in the real world. You combine creativity with a solid understanding of branding, packaging and production, and you take ownership from first idea to customer-ready concept. With your experience, eye for detail and collaborative mindset, you help lift our projects to the next level.

Within IBG Netherlands, we specialize in turnkey solutions, private label and packaging in the Beauty and Home Care industry. Together we are concept builders with global opportunities for well-known retailers and brands from your favorite shopping street. There is a good chance that one of our products is already in your home!
What will you do as Concept Designer
In this role, you are responsible for developing creative concepts and visual directions for our beauty and personal care clients. You translate briefings into concrete design proposals, safeguard visual consistency across touchpoints, and help shape our internal design standards. You work closely with sales, product development and innovation colleagues to ensure that what you design is not only beautiful, but also feasible and commercially relevant.
You will
Turn client briefings into creative packaging and product design concepts that fit their brand, target group and commercial goals;
Create inspiring visual decks, branding proposals, mockups and simple prototypes that clearly tell the story behind your concepts;
Actively research trends, consumer insights and competitor activity and translate these into forward-thinking design directions;
Develop and refine visual systems (such as typography, colour palettes, iconography and layout principles) and ensure consistent use across projects;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as Product Development, Sales and Sourcing) to align design with technical possibilities, timings and costs;
Join client meetings or pitches when needed to help present and explain concepts in a clear and compelling way.

Requirements
Your profile:
You are a creative all-rounder with a strong sense for branding, packaging and visual storytelling. You are comfortable taking ownership of projects, enjoy working with different stakeholders and like to combine conceptual thinking with hands-on design work.
This is what you bring to the table:
Approximately 3–5 years of experience in concept development and/or packaging design, preferably in FMCG, beauty or lifestyle;
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); you can turn ideas into clear and attractive visuals;
A good understanding of branding principles and how to translate them into consistent, impactful design across formats;
Basic knowledge of production processes for consumer goods (e.g. printing, materials, finishes) and the ability to think along about feasibility;
Curiosity about new tools and technologies, such as 3D modelling, rendering or AI-based design tools (e.g. Adobe Firefly, Midjourney), and the willingness to experiment with them;
Bonus: experience with motion graphics or video editing to bring concepts to life in digital presentations or campaigns;
You are proactive, structured and detail-oriented, can handle feedback well and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
