Input Output Group

Input Output Group (IOG), founded in 2015, is a blockchain research and engineering company known for Cardano. We develop high-assurance blockchain products for both public and private sector clients. We also run a venture studio, helping founders from idea to spinout with research, governance, incentives, and systems design.

Our ecosystem includes Cardano, a layer 1 blockchain built on research, and Midnight, a fourth-generation privacy blockchain. Our key products and platforms include Lace (our light wallet), Bitcoin DeFi (a Bitcoin-Cardano bridge), RealFi (our finance platform), Catalyst (for project voting and funding), Identus (decentralized identity), Djed (a stablecoin), Blockfrost (a Cardano API platform), and Quantum Hosky (a 4D gamescape/partner chain).

Input Output Research, our R&D division, does foundational and applied research in cryptography, distributed systems, and formal methods. It published over 250 peer-reviewed papers between 2015 and 2020.
