Let’s start with the role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to join our Kaizen Gaming team, to ensure our operations in Romania remain fully aligned with regulatory and legal requirements.
As a Senior Compliance Officer you will:
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards by researching and communicating requirements, creating action plans and obtaining approvals by National Gambling Office (ONJN) or any other regulatory body needed;
- Support the Compliance Manager in guaranteeing that all regulatory requirements are met within the country, ensuring effective delivery of regulatory compliance initiatives across the organization;
- Conduct regulatory research by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other relevant sources of information;
- Develop and support regulatory policies through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, incorporating future trends and real facts;
- Propose the strategic approach for local regulatory compliance and align with company-wide regulatory compliance objectives;
- Liaise with Independent Authorities, Governmental and non-governmental authorities, Law enforcement agencies, auditors, other companies to promote the company’s interests;
- Perform risk assessments and internal audits with regards to legal and regulatory compliance requirements across operational, technical and support processes;
- Devise reports regarding regulatory requirements and action plans;
- Prepare formal responses to questions and investigations conducted by official bodies;
- Coordinate compliance audits conducted by regulatory authorities;
- Spread the compliance culture throughout the company by training and other means.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field; a legal academic background is strongly preferred.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in the gaming sector or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to manage regulatory requirements and interact effectively with regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
