What you’ll be doing
Drive the technical execution of packaging tasks across our portfolio, ensuring alignment with Karo’s packaging strategy
Provide cross-functional technical support that delivers measurable value
Own and create finished goods and component specifications, securing functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal
Lead packaging input within New Product Development (NPD) teams, including briefs for costing and innovation insight
Conduct packaging tests, functionality assessments, and dimensional analyses
Develop and approve defect classifications, standards, and visual range boards
Align testing protocols with contract manufacturers (CMOs) and packaging suppliers
Maintain packaging specs in our systems, including technical drawings and BOMs
Ensure packaging quality throughout the full distribution chain, including last-mile delivery
Act as key user for our packaging specification platforms, supporting systems implementation and improvements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Packaging Development or Procurement, ideally within FMCG, consumer health, or adjacent fast-paced industries
University degree in a scientific or engineering field
Proven ability to interpret and assess risks from technical data
Strong communicator—able to adapt complex technical details to different stakeholders
