We are looking for a Junior People Partner to join the People Asia Pacific team, supporting talent management, employee relations and business partnering. This role will also look at process improvement for People Team and work closely with the team to strive for results.

The role of the Junior People Partner will play a pivotal part in the administration, growth and support of all on-site teams in Asia Pacific. A successful Junior People Partner will enjoy that each day is different than the one before, view People Team as strategic partners within the organization and will continually challenge the status quo. This role would be suitable for someone who thrives in a busy, fast paced environment.

The Junior People Partner will be lead point of contact on benefits and leave administration as well as begin to focus on employee relations. In addition to ensuring compliance of all the usual HR protocols, you will also provide a comprehensive, proactive and efficient People service by providing information, guidance and coaching to employees and managers across all employment related matters. The Junior People Partner works within the larger People team to support all of the People and business strategy, working with all teams/functions within the company.

What you will be doing:

The team’s activities are varied, and you will need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in everything from a generalist perspective. The main day to day tasks includes, but are not limited to:

Employee Relations / Advisor:

  • Support the roll out of key People initiatives as well as proactively drive forward group projects to help deliver the OLIVER People strategy against our annual people plan.
  • Support People Partners in driving engagement, development and support to the business through employee engagement activities, action plans.
  • Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes to process and procedure to ensure we continually deliver a great employee experience.
  • Support the People Team with any ad-hoc projects or assignments.

Operations:

  • Build and maintain an excellent knowledge of employees, objectives and business processes within
  • Support the performance and merit review process.
  • Maintenance of employee records and ensuring all changes are captured accurately, on time and updated within the HRIS system and payroll process.
  • Managing the on-boarding of new starters, including ensuring background checks are completed.
  • Payroll management – liaise closely with Finance for timely payment with accuracy and ensuring full compliance is adhered to.
  • Providing professional, appropriate, and timely advice and guidance to employees and line management, seeking the support of the People Partner where necessary.
  • Continue to build and instill a customer service culture through proactive, compassionate and accurate guidance and support to the business.
  • Ensuring the Singapore office administration is supported.

Compliance:

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of regional employment law to ensure advice given is current and accurate.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in human resources.
  • A problem solver with a resourceful mind.
  • Excellent employment law knowledge.
  • Good communication and relationship management skills with an eye for details.
  • A go-getter, passionate in the role and with great work ethics.
  • Advocate for inclusion and diversity with demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
  • Proactive in your approach to improving and providing effective and efficient support of all HR activities.
  • Enjoy being part of a team and excited to contribute to its success.
  • Practical experience using Excel and ideally some exposure to working with HRIS.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
