Job description

Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Global Quality Director to lead worldwide quality strategy and execution for their OEM business division. This is a key leadership position that will drive compliance with automotive industry standards, enhance product and process quality, and ensure customer satisfaction across 11 global manufacturing sites spanning Europe, India, and the United States.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing comprehensive quality management systems, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a high-performing global quality team. Jedná se o klíčovou vedoucí pozici, která bude řídit dodržování standardů automobilového průmyslu, zlepšovat kvalitu produktů a procesů a zajišťovat spokojenost zákazníků napříč 11 globálními výrobními závody v Evropě, Indii a Spojených státech.

Úspěšný kandidát bude odpovědný za implementaci komplexních systémů řízení kvality, vedení iniciativ kontinuálního zlepšování a rozvoj vysoce výkonného globálního týmu kvality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management Systems Leadership

  • Implement, maintain, and ensure certification of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements across all global sites
  • Standardise quality processes and documentation across all manufacturing locations
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities

Customer Quality Management

  • Serve as the global point of contact for major OEM customers on all quality matters
  • Manage customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions with professionalism and responsiveness
  • Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions

Continuous Improvement & Six Sigma Leadership

  • Lead and promote Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality and reduce waste
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and zero-defect mindset across the organisation
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of current quality across all sites, identifying areas for optimisation

Global Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop regional Quality Managers across 11 international sites
  • Provide mentoring and professional development opportunities for quality team members
  • Align functional activities and ensure consistent quality standards globally

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators including PPM, scrap rates, field claims, and customer satisfaction scores
  • Analyse trends and lead improvement actions based on data insights
  • Report quality metrics and initiatives to senior management

Strategic Quality Planning

  • Define and justify investments in testing, metrology, and quality systems
  • Develop long-term quality roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance across all operations

KLÍČOVÉ ODPOVĚDNOSTI

Vedení systémů řízení kvality

  • Implementovat, udržovat a zajistit certifikaci ISO 9001, IATF 16949 a specifických požadavků zákazníků napříč všemi globálními závody
  • Standardizovat procesy kvality a dokumentaci ve všech výrobních lokalitách
  • Řídit interní a externí audity, zajišťovat včasné uzavření neshod

Řízení kvality zákazníků

  • Fungovat jako globální kontaktní osoba pro hlavní OEM zákazníky ve všech záležitostech kvality
  • Řídit reklamace zákazníků, audity a nápravná opatření s profesionalitou a rychlou odezvou
  • Dohlížet na procesy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) včetně FMEA, kontrolních plánů a PPAP předložení

Vedení kontinuálního zlepšování & Six Sigma

  • Vést a podporovat Lean, Kaizen a Six Sigma metodologie pro zlepšení kvality produktů a snížení plýtvání
  • Podporovat kulturu provozní excelence a nulového-defektu napříč organizací
  • Provádět komplexní analýzu současné kvality napříč všemi závody, identifikovat oblasti pro optimalizaci

Vedení a rozvoj globálního týmu

  • Vést a rozvíjet regionální manažery kvality napříč 11 mezinárodními závody
  • Poskytovat mentoring a příležitosti profesního rozvoje členům týmu kvality
  • Sladit funkční aktivity a zajistit konzistentní standardy kvality globálně

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality leadership roles within the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of managing quality across multiple international sites

Technical Expertise

  • Expert knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D)
  • Strong background in Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Experience with quality management software and ERP systems

Language & Mobility

  • Native Czech speaker with fluent English (both written and spoken)
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary work visas for international business travel

Vzdělání a zkušenosti

  • Bakalářský titul v oboru průmyslové inženýrství, výrobní inženýrství nebo ekvivalentní technická kvalifikace
  • Minimálně 10 let zkušeností ve vedoucích rolích kvality v automobilovém průmyslu
  • Prokázaná historie řízení kvality napříč více mezinárodními závody

Technická expertíza

  • Expertní znalost IATF 16949, ISO 9001 a automobilových základních nástrojů (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D)
  • Silné zázemí v Six Sigma metodologiích a strukturovaných technikách řešení problémů
  • Zkušenosti se softwarem pro řízení kvality a ERP systémy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of and experience with hydraulic systems
  • Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive suppliers
  • Additional European language skills
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Quality Management

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 per annum (gross)
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary
  • 4 weeks (20 working days) annual leave plus public holidays
