Overview
Are you a registered dietitian who understands the discipline of public relations? Join Ketchum’s Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Practice as a Senior Account Executive, working with Ketchum’s group of on-staff RDs. In this role, you’ll be working on multiple high-profile, household-name brands and commodity boards. You’ll be responsible for bringing big strategic ideas and partnerships as well as thinking through media and influencer strategy. Does this sound exciting to you?
About the Job
In this role, you will:
- Work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment, promptly updating and reviewing work
- Act as day-to-day client contact; continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
- Play a key role in the planning and implementation of account activities, providing guidance on an ongoing basis, specifically in the area of nutrition
- Lead the execution of nutrition and wellness-related PR campaigns for consumers and health professionals
- Be a trendspotter and build relationships in the media, nutrition, and retail communities
- Distill scientific research and nutrition data and effectively develop a full range of written materials including client correspondence, press releases, media pitches, social media content, educational materials, etc.
- Continually build on the understanding and knowledge of clients’ businesses and competitive environments and the latest in food and nutrition policy; apply this information in preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendations
- Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others
- Be flexible and facilitate teamwork; coordinate team resources and create opportunities for teams to take on more responsibility; fully utilize agency resources to create the “best teams” for your clients
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- 3-5 years of nutrition communications experience, at least 2 years at a public relations agency
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities
- Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment
- Strong science-based research skills
- Broad-based exposure and skills in proposal planning, writing and presentations, and measurement
- Demonstrated track record in building strong client relationships and delivering programs that exceeded anticipated results
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data.
