Senior Associate Employment Law

🇬🇧 United Kingdom - Remote
⚖️ Finance & Legal🟣 Senior

Job Description

LegalVision is a commercial law firm built for forward-thinking businesses who want to work differently. Through our fixed-fee legal membership, we provide unlimited legal support to SMEs and in-house teams.

Our team uses custom-built technology to deliver fast, high-quality legal support with predictable pricing for clients and rewarding careers for those who work here. With readily scaling operations across the United Kingdom, LegalVision offers clear progression, exposure to interesting work at scale, and the opportunity to be part of an innovative law firm.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a 3+ PQE, English-qualified lawyer to join our successful Employment practice as a Senior Associate. In this role, you will support a growing portfolio of SME and enterprise clients, advising on a wide range of employment law and health and safety matters.

LegalVision’s clients span a broad range of industries, including SaaS/IT, healthcare, e-commerce, construction, and recruitment. The work is varied and hands-on, involving drafting and advising on employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, and health and safety policies, assisting with contentious employment matters such as pre-tribunal advice and Employment Tribunal claims, and managing redundancy and TUPE processes for clients.

As a Senior Associate, you will also play an active role in coaching and supervising trainee solicitors and junior lawyers. You will have a genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to their professional development within a collaborative team environment.

This role is well suited to a lawyer with broad employment law expertise, who is comfortable managing matters end-to-end in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. You need to be confident in communicating directly with clients and delivering clear, practical, and commercially focused advice.

While we would ideally like the successful candidate to be based in Manchester, we are open to flexible and fully remote working arrangements for the right person.

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience as an employment lawyer in a reputable UK law firm or in-house legal team
  • Broad experience advising employers on contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including employment contracts, policies, and handbooks, employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes, terminations, restructures, and redundancies
  • Strong track record of managing matters end-to-end in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high technical and client service standards
  • Comfortable with direct client engagement, including delivering clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice, building long-term, trusted client relationships, and translating complex employment law issues into practical solutions for SME and corporate clients
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and aligned with a modern, client-centric legal services model
  • Experience supervising trainees and/or junior lawyers and working collaboratively within a high-performing team

The Perks

  • Forward-thinking environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
  • Welcoming office environment in Ancoats and hybrid working (or fully remote working if you’re not based in Manchester).
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), enhanced maternity pay, plus contractual sick pay, paid volunteering, and birthday leave.
  • Private medical insurance (post probation).
  • Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
  • Regular team socials and events.

Apply Today!

If this sounds like your ideal next step, we’d love to hear from you! Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will close once the role is filled, so apply early to avoid missing out.

A note to recruiters: we’re all over this role, so there’s no need for you to get in touch. LegalVision does not accept unsolicited CVs or responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited CVs. Thanks!
