Job description
We’re looking for a seasoned AI, insurance, and compliance professional with experience in the property & casualty space (homeowners, renters, car, or pet insurance) to join our team. This is a critical moment for us as we redefine how compliance and risk processes are performed and delivered at Lemonade, by building scalable, automated, and forward-looking solutions.
In this role, you’ll work hand-in-hand with compliance and insurance leaders to scale, automate, and improve existing processes. You’ll also develop clear, forward-looking metrics for senior leadership and business partners to keep everyone on the same page about how we’re doing and where we need to focus. You’ll collaborate closely with Insurance operations, Agency, Claims, and Product teams to support Lemonade’s continuous compliance and growth.
In this role you’ll
Become a Lemonade owner and expert for all things related to regulatory compliance and risk
Leverage AI and automation to the fullest potential, working with teams responsible for market conduct exams, formal complaints, and licensing to drive efficiencies in manual processes
Develop and implement automated testing scripts to significantly broaden the impact and effectiveness of the Compliance Testing & Monitoring team
Collaborate with our legal, compliance, risk, and audit teams to build streamlined reporting, metrics, and assessments of the overall control environment
Work directly with regulators to resolve issues from market conduct exams, focusing on creating automated, holistic solutions for long-term resolution
Partner with other compliance team members to develop best practices, identify efficiency gains, and create the scale needed to support the company’s significant growth
What you’ll need
7+ years of risk, compliance, or Audit experience in the US personal lines insurance space
5+ years leveraging AI and/or RPA to build testing and automated solutions
Bachelor’s degree
Technical familiarity with the insurance policy lifecycle and the unique challenges of state regulatory environments
Strong understanding of monitoring and testing practices
Masterful at all things G-Suite and Slack
Ability to work in a remote environment
Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

Lemonade’s US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000- $175,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
