Workplace Automation Engineer

Job description

LI.FI is simplifying multi-chain DeFi for traditional financial institutions, fintechs and service providers by offering a unified API to access all on-chain liquidity across major blockchains for best price same-chain and cross-chain swaps. • Focus on your application, there’s no need to reach out to team members directly. We review all applications thoroughly, so rest assured your submission will be carefully considered! If you have questions about which role might be the best fit for you, feel free to reach out to [email protected].

  • To apply, please submit your resume detailing your relevant experiences and competencies. We love to see how your work has made a difference—whether it’s improving processes, increasing efficiency, or leading a project to success, so be sure to highlight this in your resume!

A quick run-down of the job

We’re looking for a Workplace Automation Engineer to automate internal systems, integrate tools, and improve the way our teams work across the company. This role has a large focus (~90%) on process automation and internal systems integration, combined with a small amount of desktop support (e.g. setting up company laptops). You’ll be working closely with teams including PeopleOps, Security, BD, and Data Engineering to identify bottlenecks and solve them with smart, scalable tech solutions.

Please note: This role requires you to be located in Berlin, Germany, with some office presence needed. Your application will not be considered otherwise.

What you’ll do

  • Automate internal workflows such as onboarding and offboarding using scripting and integration tools

  • Build and maintain integrations between internal tools, such as Google Workspace and HubSpot — including systems that don’t natively integrate

  • Write and maintain Python and Bash scripts to reduce manual tasks and improve team efficiency

  • Provide limited desktop support (~10% of your time), including equipment setup and access rights management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Operations, Security, Business Development, and Data Engineering to identify process gaps and implement technical solutions

What makes a good candidate

  • Prior experience in desktop or IT support, including hardware setup, access rights management, and Mobile Device Management (MDM), combined with a desire to move into more technical and project-based engineering work

  • Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash, with a focus on automation over manual work

  • Experience working with identity and access management tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Active Directory, Okta, or Microsoft Entra

  • Familiarity with integration platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or similar tools for workflow automation

  • Demonstrated experience with software or systems integration, either through native methods or custom solutions

  • Knowledge of SQL is a nice-to-have

  • Experience using AI tools is a nice-to-have

  • Experience with HubSpot is a big plus, but we value any hands-on experience with CRM tools

  • Self-starter mindset and strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder needs

  • A problem-solver who enjoys building internal tools, improving systems, and proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows

  • Must be located in Berlin, Germany (this is a hard requirement). While the role is predominantly remote, we are looking for someone who can regularly work from our Berlin office as needed — particularly for tasks like equipment setup.

We encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!

Company culture

  • Embracing the differences

    • Embrace your own differences

    • Respect and welcome the unique qualities of others

    • See others’ differences as an opportunity to grow

  • Own it, do it

    • Own tasks end-to-end

    • Hold yourself to a high bar for execution

    • Make bold decisions, and be accountable

    • Understand your limitations and seek for help

  • Fail forward

    • Try - don’t be afraid to fail

    • Learn - don’t make the same mistake twice

    • Adapt - grow with the experience

  • Have fun together

    • Take the time to get to know and understand each other better

    • Don’t take yourself too seriously and keep it light-hearted

    • Fun should be coming from a place of love and respect

What you’ll get

  • Annual team offsites (Thailand in 2023 and Vietnam in 2024 were a blast, Marrakech in March 2025 was blast-ier; let’s see what happens in 2026!)

  • 30 days of PTO

  • Flexible remote days

  • Flexible working hours

  • Equity participation from day 1

  • Entitlement to work computer (choice of equipment)

  • An annual 1,000€ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year)

  • A one-time 1,000€ remote budget to use on coworking, office setup, etc.

If you join us as an independent contractor, you’re only entitled to the first five benefits of this list.
