Job description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining robust deployment pipelines for backend and frontend services in an on-premises Kubernetes environment. The ideal candidate will also be able to ensure the scalability,reliability and operational stability of deployed services and support data infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Frontend/Backend Developers, QA, and Group DevOps to ensure that application platforms and pipelines are reliable, secure, and performant. Experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Redis, Kong, and ClickHouse is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to design and support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD) for microservices and infrastructure.
Manage log ingestion pipelines and optimize resource allocation, ensuring efficient utilization and clear visualization using tools like Loki and Grafana.
Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting systems (e.g. NewRelic) to ensure proactive issue detection.
Operate and monitor application-supporting platforms such as ClickHouse, Kong, and Nginx.
Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly.
Improve deployment strategies and reduce time to delivery through automation and tooling.
Support Apache Kafka clusters and backend API dependencies like Redis.
Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments when needed.
Support compliance and security initiatives in collaboration with IT and Security teams.
Bachelor;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in a DevOps or Site Reliability role, ideally in complex production environments.
Expert knowledge of container technologies and orchestration (specifically Kubernetes).
Experience with managing Helm charts and GitOps workflows, along with scripting (e.g. Bash).
Familiarity with backing services such as Redis, Kong, ClickHouse.
Good understanding of networking, monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g. NewRelic, Grafana).
Comfortable working in on-prem environments.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
