We are a public relations and communications firm, founded in 1991 by organizers Arthur Malkin and Madeline Stanionis, that supports nonprofits.

We help with fundraising, supporter engagement, movement building, issue advocacy, advertising, and message and brand development. Our services include list building, partner engagement, website analysis, advocacy strategy, analytics and optimization, audience and message research, creative and brand development, email and SMS, multichannel fundraising, social and influencer strategies, strategic communications, and supporter mobilization.

M+R is a remote-first organization, with offices in Washington, DC, New York City, and Oakland, and 51-200 employees. Our team includes fundraisers, marketers, communicators, campaigners, researchers, analysts, organizers, designers, writers, and developers.

The company culture encourages continuous learning and growth. Staff perform at their best, supported by our systems, processes, and a union. The average tenure for M+R staff is 6.5 years, and 54% of senior staff have been with the firm for over a decade. Staff live in 29 states across the U.S.

Our benefits for full-time staff include three weeks of vacation, 15 paid sick days, and three personal days.
