The Position

This role is for candidates FLUENT in Italian and English.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role on our Machinio System team is critical to driving growth for our SaaS product and expanding Machinio’s presence across European markets. As an SDR, you’ll develop the fundamentals of high-level sales, building new client relationships, running effective discovery, negotiating deals, and collaborating with a high-performing team to generate new revenue. This is a true “opening” role, focused on creating new opportunities, with a clear path to transition into a Business Development Executive position within 14–18 months.

Our Company

Machinio operates Machinio.com and Machinio System, and this role will work with the latter. We’re a fast-moving, former startup transforming a traditional $400 billion industry through technology, with teams across North America, Europe, and Asia. Our SaaS product, Machinio System, is experiencing rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be fluent in Italian and English.
  • Proactively engage, and build relationships with business owners to uncover and qualify new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs, challenges, and buying intent, and determine fit before advancing opportunities.
  • Schedule and coordinate qualified demos, partnering closely with Account Executives to progress deals through the sales funnel and support closes.
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs related to outreach, pipeline generation, and opportunity quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to refine messaging, improve processes, and contribute to the company’s overall growth.

Compensation (fully discussed during the 2nd step of the interview process):

  • Base salary
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Paid time off

Our Interview Process

  • Phone Interview – Chat with our Senior Director of Operations, one of Machinio’s executives, to get to know you.
  • Video Interview – Google Meet with one of our Account Executives to complete a role-specific assessment and discuss the position and compensation.
  • Final Interview – Meet with our Vice President of Sales, also part of the executive team.

We’re efficient decision-makers with a goal of completing the process within 3-4 weeks. Our interviewers are real Machinio employees with long tenures and deep institutional knowledge—they manage and work with the team you’ll join. We take the time to build strong teams because our people are our most important resource.
