About this Role
We’re seeking a Designer to join our growing Mexico City creative team. This role is ideal for a strong visual thinker with 2–4 years of experience who is excited to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment while contributing to globally recognized brands and experiences.
You’ll help create thoughtfully crafted work across digital, experiential, brand, content, and campaign platforms—bringing ideas to life through strong design fundamentals, attention to detail, and a passion for creative excellence.
As a Designer at MATTE, you’ll support projects from concept through execution, helping translate creative ideas into polished, high-quality deliverables while maintaining brand integrity and studio standards.
What You’ll Do
Design Execution & Craft
- Design compelling creative across digital, print, experiential, and social platforms under the guidance of senior creative leadership.
- Support the development of visual concepts for campaigns, branded content, and experiences—from initial layouts through final production-ready assets.
- Execute design work that aligns with established creative direction, brand systems, and client objectives.
- Apply strong typography, layout, color, and composition skills to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Assist in preparing files for production across both digital and physical environments.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Partner closely with Design Directors, Creative Directors, Strategists, Copywriters, Producers, and Project Managers throughout the creative process.
- Support new business efforts through pitch materials, visual storytelling, and presentation design.
- Contribute to creative reviews, brainstorms, and team critiques by sharing ideas, references, and design perspectives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities, deadlines, and evolving creative needs.
- Design and format presentations and creative decks in alignment with MATTE and client brand standards.
- Organize and maintain project files according to studio best practices.
Qualifications
- Currently based in Mexico City (CDMX)
- 2–4 years of professional design experience within an agency, studio, or brand environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, creative thinking, and execution across digital, print, branding, and experiential work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craft.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Motion design, animation, AI-assisted creative workflows, or 3D experience are considered a plus.
Compensation
MXN $700,000–$800,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and overall qualifications.
