MEMX

MEMX (Members Exchange) was founded in 2019 by a group of financial firms, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, Citadel Securities, E*TRADE, Fidelity Investments, Morgan Stanley, TD Ameritrade, UBS, and Virtu Financial. We specialize in financial markets, securities trading, and fintech.

We operate two member-owned exchanges: MEMX Equities, a U.S. Equities Exchange, and MEMX Options, a U.S. Options Exchange. Both use a maker/taker model. We also offer our custom exchange platform as market technology.

Our goal is to make securities trading more efficient, transparent, and affordable, helping market participants adapt to changing demands.

Our mission is to increase competition, improve operational transparency, reduce fixed costs, and simplify equity trading in the U.S. We also work to foster healthy competition and advocate for market structure reforms that lead to more efficient trading experiences for all investors.
