Position Overview
Mendix is the leading low-code agentic enterprise platform. Our customers use Mendix to create and deploy better software for the enterprise, faster. Mendix enables collaboration between business users and developers to work together throughout the development process. Our group is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix as we work on modern technologies crucial to develop and deliver an Agentic Enterprise Platform to our customers. Our local team in Munich develops Agents Kit, the Mendix agent building SDK, so our customers can intuitively develop agents and agentic applications with an engaging end-user experience. You can find most of our components in the Mendix marketplace, and they can be used through Mendix Cloud GenAI Resource Packs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build upon an existing foundation, moving at a fast pace as the agentic AI space progresses
- Work with early adopter customers to build out Agents Kit, an AI portfolio of modules and applications our customers really need
- Work on a platform with a lasting impact and strategic value, knowing that thousands of developers and millions of end users across the globe rely on your work, and each commit can make a lot of impact
- Be thorough and get to the bottom of things; clear answers are more important than deadlines
- Work full-stack across technologies, delivering a Mendix SDK and leveraging TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, CSS, and Java
Qualifications
Required:
- Mendix skills at the level of an Expert Developer with extensive knowledge of Mendix best practices for development
- Comfortable writing a Java method or custom widget independently
- Ability to learn new concepts and pick up new technologies based on tasks at hand, excited by the challenge of sophisticated technical problems
- Take ownership for the quality of your work and the impact it has on others
- Familiarity with agile frameworks and software development collaboration tools such as Git
- Willingness to meet colleagues once or twice a week in a modern office in Munich
Preferred:
- Background in the domain of generative AI, either through education or work experience in software development
- Familiarity with technical concepts of MCP and/or A2A and other agent-building capabilities
- Experience with Agents Kit and the Agent Editor in 11.9+
- Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Python or another programming language
- Day-to-day experience with agentic development tools such as Claude Code
- Experience with generative AI services of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure and Google

Our Benefits & Rewards
The salary range for this position is €68,900 to €113,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
