Role: AP/AR Support Specialist

Salary: $50,000/year

Location: Chicago, IL(in-person for 6 months; hybrid schedule after training period)

The role:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented AP/AR Support Specialist to join our team! You’ll provide administrative and operational support to our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.

This is a great opportunity for a proactive multi-tasker who wants to build a financial or accounting career in the property management industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide administrative support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams

Monitor incoming mail and email inboxes for invoices and route them appropriately for processing

  • Assist with processing bill payments for smaller dollar amounts (under $500) and ACH payments following established procedures
  • Assist with vendor payment support, including processing, organizing, and uploading vendor invoices
  • Support check deposit processing, including data entry and documentation
  • Assist with payment processing and basic reporting related to internal programs and mailer expenses
  • Perform routine audits and reviews of small-balance invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with tracking and auditing physical access items such as keys, fobs, and remotes to ensure records are accurate
  • Provide phone coverage as needed, including answering and routing calls
  • Assist with tracking and organizing Certificates of Insurance
  • Complete additional administrative and accounting support tasks as assigned

Skills you bring:

  • Prior financial or accounting experience is helpful but not required
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities at once
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to follow processes accurately

Schedule:

  • First 6 months (training period): In-office 5 days per week
  • After 6 months: Eligible for up to 3 work-from-home days per week
