Role Overview: Senior WordPress Developer
We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to build, customize, and maintain secure, high-performing websites. The role focuses on WordPress development, GoHighLevel integrations, custom themes/plugins, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and delivering reliable technical solutions while collaborating with clients and teams.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain responsive, secure, and high-performing WordPress websites
Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and page-builder components
Integrate WordPress websites with GoHighLevel, APIs, forms, CRM workflows, and third-party services
Troubleshoot website, hosting, plugin, and integration issues
Improve website speed, SEO readiness, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
Perform updates, backups, migrations, testing, and ongoing maintenance
Translate business and design requirements into reliable technical solutions
Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to clients and team members
Review code and help establish development standards and best practices
At least 5 years of professional experience with WordPress development
Strong hands-on experience with GoHighLevel (GHL)
Advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and WordPress architecture
Experience with custom themes, plugins, APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
Familiarity with popular WordPress builders and tools, such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of website performance, security, responsive design, and technical SEO
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work full-time during U.S. Eastern Time hours
Strong problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills
Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hosting platforms, DNS, SSL, CDN, and website migrations
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
- Experience creating GHL funnels, forms, calendars, automations, and CRM integrations
- Experience working hybrid with U.S.-based clients or teams
