Job Description
We are looking for a Hybrid QA Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing within Agile/Scrum environments. The role focuses on ensuring software quality through robust test design, automation frameworks, and continuous integration practices. The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, and experienced in building scalable testing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases across functional, integration, and regression testing
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD)
- Perform API testing using Postman or REST Assured
- Conduct database validation using SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Manage defects and test cycles using tools like JIRA or HP ALM
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and Docker for continuous testing
- Set up, configure, and upgrade test environments and infrastructure for scalability and reliability
- Ensure adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software testing (manual + automation)
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong proficiency in:
- Core Java
- Selenium WebDriver
- TestNG
- Cucumber (BDD framework)
- Hands-on experience with:
- API Testing (Postman / REST Assured)
- SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
- Experience with:
- CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker)
- Defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM)
- Strong understanding of STLC (Functional, Integration, Regression testing)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
