Job Description

As a Senior QA & Test Automation Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our customers’ quality assurance and test automation landscapes, as well as Nagarro’s services and accelerators in this area.

You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic consulting, RfPs & pre-sales presentations & discussions with customers, and leadership and mentoring responsibilities, working closely with customers and distributed teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring automation and QA teams, both on-site and in geographically distributed environments
  • Consulting customers on test strategies, automation approaches, processes, and best practices to improve overall QA and QA automation maturity
  • Applying AI-assisted approaches across the entire Test Life Cycle (TLC) to drive efficiency, quality, and maintainability
  • Supporting pre-sales activities with QA & automation expertise, including customer presentations, solution design, and relationship building
  • Creating test concepts and test automation concepts, estimating test efforts, planning and tracking test & automation activities, and evaluating test results and KPIs
  • Ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions
  • Architecting, designing, implementing, and evolving test automation frameworks and strategies for web, mobile, API, and desktop applications
  • Staying up to date with emerging test automation tools, technologies, and industry trends
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams to align test automation with sprint goals and delivery timelines
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in testing processes and automation practices
  • Designing and delivering trainings and knowledge transfer on QA and test automation topics

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on consulting experience in client projects covering end-to-end test automation, including several years in a senior, lead, or architect role
  • Strong experience in test management, test strategies, test planning, control, KPIs, and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes and Agile methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in two or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, Typescript/JavaScript, or similar
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset
  • Business-fluent German and English
  • Hands-on experience in two or more languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Proven experience with a broad range of test automation and test management tools (eg TestRail, Zephyr, Xray) including: Playwright and other tools for Web & mobile(eg Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Detox), API(eg Rest Assured, Postman), BDD(eg Cucumber, SpecFlow), L&P (eg k6, JMeter), low-/no-code(eg Tosca, UIPath) and desktop UI(UIPath, Tosca, UFT, TestComplete)
  • Experience in applying AI-assisted tools across the test lifecycle (TLC), for example for test design & automation using tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Testim, Mabl is required.
  • Experience with modern development and DevOps tooling to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Docker for containerized test execution.
  • Experience in leading & mentoring teams
  • Experience in pre-sales discussions and RfPs
  • Strong team-oriented mindset combined with flexibility, adaptability, a high sense of ownership, self-motivation, a continuous learning attitude, a CARING mindset, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at customers and within Nagarro
  • Business fluent in German and English

Gross monthly salary depending on qualifications, experience and salary model between € 5.500,- and € 8.000,-.
