Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total Experience 8+ years
- Strong advanced expertise in Natural/ADABAS or Cobol/DB2
- Intermediate knowledge of JCL
- Strong programming and coding fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with batch and online (transactional) applications
- Good understanding of mainframe architecture and database concepts
- Exposure to mainframe modernization is an added advantage
- Experience with debugging and issue analysis on mainframe systems
- Familiarity with tools like NaturalONE (or similar editors), job schedulers, and Jira
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Writing and reviewing great quality code.
- Analyze existing applications and document business logic, technical design, and process flow
- Understand requirements and deliver high-quality code within defined timeline
- Perform unit testing and ensure code meets quality standards
- Debug, analyze, and resolve production issues, providing timely fixes or workarounds
- Maintain and update technical documentation for enhancements and fixes
- Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering and status reporting
- Support and mentor team members as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement and modernization initiatives
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project guidelines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
