Job Description
In Natixis in Portugal (NiP), the Quality Assurance (QA) Compliance Controller role lies within the Secretariat General area. As such, the function directly reports to the SG PT Controls Manager who, consequently, reports to the Secretary General PT. Functionally, the role reports to the CUSO Controls & QA Manager who, consequently, reports to the Head of CUSO Governance & Control Framework within the US Secretary General.
Supporting the Combined US Operations organization, the QA Compliance Controller plays a key role in the CUSO Internal Control Framework by conducting quality controls on the CUSO Risk & Compliance activities to ensure their adherence to Policies & Procedures and assess quality of Risk & Compliance processes i.e. if they are operating as expected and in line with the relevant Policies & Procedures.
The main responsibilities of the QA Compliance Controller are as follows but not limited to:
- Execute oversight and assurance quality controls of the CUSO Risk and Compliance controls and processes in scope.
- Prepare and report control results including identified anomalies/findings and proposed corrective measures as applicable, under the required format of the control report and in the control management tool used for that purpose.
- Present and discuss results with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in performing the various projects and reviews planned and tracking the status of each throughout the year
- Proactively propose new controls and enhancements to existing controls
- Assist in the development and implementation of new and enhanced controls
- Help prepare and report metrics tracking control execution progress
- Contribute to reporting to senior management and regulatory authorities when required
Cross train with members in the team to ensure appropriate backup on responsibilities and no key person risk.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University/College in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or other business-related discipline;
- 3 + years Experience of working in financial services and conducting control activities or similar discipline.
