Job Description
Generic Responsibilities
- Creates a design for software applications that meets specified requirements by analyzing requirements, identifying appropriate architectural patterns, and establishing a blueprint for development to ensure a well-structured and functional software solution aligned with desired functionality and performance goals.
- Writes code to implement software applications based on the design by utilizing appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and libraries to translate the design into functional code, transforming the design into executable instructions and building the core functionality of the software application.
- Conducts tests to ensure the functionality, reliability, and quality of the software applications by developing and executing test cases, performing testing, and analyzing test results to identify and rectify defects, validate the software against requirements, and ensure a high level of software quality.
- Identifies and resolves software defects and issues by analyzing error logs, using debugging tools, and applying troubleshooting techniques to eliminate software malfunctions
- Creates documentation that describes the software application, its features, and its functionality by writing technical documentation, user guides, and API documentation to facilitate understanding, usage, and maintenance of the software solution by providing comprehensive and accessible documentation.
- Identifies root causes by employing analytical thinking and applying problem-solving techniques to resolve software issues and improve efficiency.
- Works closely with the team, project managers and business analysts, understanding requirements, and clarifying objectives to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project’s scope.
- Keeps up-to-date with the Industry and best practice trends, using insights to implement new processes and initiatives in the organization.
- Actively engages in and apply various development methodologies, to effectively collaborate, contribuiting for successful delivery as well as improving the development process.
Specific Responsibilities
- Conducting code reviews, performing testing activities by employing code analysis tools, implementing and improve coding standards and best practices, and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure the quality and reliability of software code, detect and fix potential issues early, and minimize the introduction of bugs or vulnerabilities
- Continuously assess and analyze the performance of the software application, implementing optimization techniques, such as code refactoring, caching, and database query optimization, to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve response times
- Engage in proactive and effective communication with stakeholders, by seeking clarification, to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
- Actively participate in the adoption and ongoing maintenance of DevOps practices within the development workflow
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong Programming Expertise: Proficient in programming languages and tools such as JAVA, C#, .Net, Angular, and others.
- Analytical Proficiency: Exceptional analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex requirements and defining advanced technical and functional solutions.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with diverse teams, including Security, Finance, and Internal Audit.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile project delivery methods, tools, and concepts.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, French is a plus.
