Job Description
Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Mainframe QA Analyst to join its Payments team, within the IT (Information Technologies) department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the product meets the client requirements.
- Analyze specifications in order to build a Testing strategy.
- Participate in the estimation of test effort considering expected quality and cost.
- Specify (functional and non-functional) test scenarios and test cases for verification and proposes testability requirements.
- Plan, create, update and execute test cases based on use cases and scenarios for each new feature or bug fixes and reports on test execution and defect re-test progress.
- Report, track bugs/defect found using the company tools.
- Keep up-to-date with the Industry and best practice trends, using insights to implement new processes and initiatives in the organization.
- Actively engage in and apply various development methodologies, to effectively collaborate, contributing for successful delivery as well as improving the development process.
- Support more junior Analysts by sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and providing constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Have a good overview on Business stakes being source of proposals for solutions improvements/understand the ecosystem.
Qualifications
Hard Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in mainframe, specifically with COBOL (mandatory).
- Knowledge in JCL and DB2 (plus).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is advantageous.
- Proficient in English (mandatory).
- Proficient in French (plus).
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
