Job Description

We are seeking a Project Lead / Squad Lead to drive cross-functional squads and IT projects. The ideal candidate blends project leadership, squad coordination, and robust Scrum Master capabilities to guide initiatives from inception to value realization. You will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams across locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maintaining a strong focus on delivery quality, speed, and continuous improvement.

Generic Responsabilities:

  • Focus on creating and communicating the vision for programs/projects, coordinating activities to ensure delivery with quality, on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Determine the delivery/framework approach (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid) and establish evaluation parameters, communicating required outcomes and providing direction to achieve those outcomes.

  • Identify program or project activities, requirements, and timelines; plan roadmaps and coordinate the team on tasks to ensure outputs meet requirements.

  • Manage and/or coordinate cross-functional teams and resources; conduct work estimation to align stakeholders and optimize capacity.

  • Coordinate and deliver activities with a variety of stakeholders, liaising with the Product Owner to develop effective working relationships and ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.

  • Conduct quality assurance and verify end-deliverables; elicit requirements throughout the lifecycle and review progress to determine necessary changes.

  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints; develop and implement mitigation plans.

  • Capture learnings and insights to inform future activity and drive continuous improvement.

  • Regularly report progress to senior management and sponsors; maintain visibility on portfolio health.

  • Maintain a cross-functional, Agile/lean role focused on managing strategic and/or innovative initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional projects/programs with potential to impact business results and strategy.
  • Lead collaboration across internal and external stakeholders; ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop policies, standards, and core processes for delivery governance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead medium-to-long-term planning and prioritization, contributing to decisions on commissioning projects/programs.
  • Coordinate multi-platform resources and engage senior leadership when necessary.
  • Act as primary liaison and facilitator for Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and coach teams on Agile practices.
  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement to maximize value delivery.
  • Remove impediments at team and cross-team levels; ensure a smooth flow of work and continuous delivery.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with project and delivery management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies; experience with scaling Agile is a plus.
  • Ability to generate status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics; data-driven decision making.
  • Budgeting and cost control capabilities; resource forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Domain awareness relevant to the squad’s area, with ability to engage effectively with engineers and QA.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, delivery/Program management, and Scrum Master roles, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering or leading cross-functional IT initiatives; proven ability to manage both project delivery and Agile coaching elements.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and cross-team coordination capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban); familiarity with scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is a plus.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and dependency management.
  • Technical awareness appropriate to the domain to engage effectively with engineers and QA.
