Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled OpenShift and Kubernetes SysAdmin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and supporting OpenShift and Kubernetes environments, with a strong focus on administration, image management, project integration, and automation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and performance of our clusters while actively participating in infrastructure improvements and automation efforts.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the health of OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters and engage in necessary corrective actions as needed.
Respond promptly to support ticket requests, ensuring effective resolution of issues.
Perform updates and upgrades on OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters in accordance with best practices.
Install new OpenShift clusters following existing procedures and standards.
Plan and declare changes related to application constraints, ensuring minimal disruption.
Update and refine Day 2 OpenShift processes for ongoing improvement.
Monitor capacity planning to anticipate and accommodate future needs.
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to provide support and maintenance.
Build “Factory” images from the base images of the Red Hat catalog, utilizing Dockerfile and Jenkins pipelines, along with image patching techniques.
Collaborate on studying new business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
Integrate infrastructure applications into the Day 2 operations process, enhancing overall efficiency.
Contribute to the evolution of operational dashboards and morning checks, focusing on development and enhancements.
Enhance monitoring capabilities by adding specific controls and features to existing systems.
Assist with development and automation tasks across the entire OpenShift scope, driving increased efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in OpenShift 4.X and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with ArgoCD, Helm, Grafana, and Prometheus for deployment and monitoring.
- Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM).
- Proficiency in automation using Ansible and programming/scripting in Python.
- Solid understanding of version control using Git.
- Linux system administration experience is required.
