Job Description
Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Senior Transaction Screening Analyst to join its S&E (Sanctions & Embargoes) team, within the CSG (Client Support Group) of the BSA (Banking Support Activities) department.
Natixis, along with its subsidiaries and branches, is subject to a variety of international, local and internal laws and policies, including regulations from French, European, American and UN authorities, as well as those from other jurisdictions where Natixis operates. To be compliant with all those regulations, Natixis has implemented a control framework.
In this role, you will analyse a large amount of customer transactions in real time, providing due diligences on the alerts which have been identified by an internal tool and taking appropriate action to mitigate or escalate transactions as the first LoD (Level of Defense). Additionally, it’s important to understand and respect the cut-offs, volumes volatility, and the high-quality standards in investigations performed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle alerts generated by the tool regarding client payments, conducting a screening to categorize the nature of the alert (e.g. tech false, false or true) in compliance with the regulations of the organization.
- Detect true alerts and escalates these instances to corporate for deeper analysis using standard procedures and following operating guidelines.
- Detect false alerts and pursues standard procedures to implement corrective actions.
- Provide regular standard reports to senior management informing alert natures, status and potential issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all transaction screening alerts and investigations, as well as any related documentation or reports.
- Investigate incidents using standard processes and procedures, and conducts an in-depth second level analysis.
Qualifications
Hard Skills:
- Higher education in a relevant area.
- 2+ years of experience in Transaction Monitoring (mandatory).
- Interbank Network.
- Payment Network Systems.
- Management of cut-off times.
- Transaction Workflow (Swift and Sepa).
- Proficiency in computer skills (Pack Office).
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in French (plus).
Soft Skills:
- Analytical capability.
