Job Description
The Distribution and Partnership Analytics team is a critical part of the NBCU Decision Sciences organization that leverages data to support major organizational initiatives, provide insights around key partnership and distribution deals, and identify areas of growth for key cohorts of customers. This role will work closely with a variety of groups across the NBCU Media Group including NBCU Platform Distribution and Partnerships, Marketing, and Finance to turn business and consumer intelligence into tangible insights for decision making.
In this role, you will blend strong analytical experience and business acumen to power decision-making for high-profile deals across the entire organization. The Analyst for Distribution and Partnership Analytics will delve extensively into 1st party data to support deal renewals, customer segmentation, and strategic initiatives focused on driving platform growth and viewer engagement.
The ideal applicant will be highly data driven, a strategic thinker, and a strong communicator with the ability to quickly learn to use and transform data into actional insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Query and analyze complex datasets to develop actionable insights that enable decision-making and support initiatives across various teams within NBCU/Peacock
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify business needs and translate into analytical projects that reveal impactful and actionable insights
- Support standard reporting needs to provide visibility into the health of the NBCU portfolio of distribution and partnerships deals
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer critical time-sensitive business questions, identifying areas of strategic opportunity for the business
- Inform decision-making by visually and verbally synthesizing 1st party data into easy-to-consume, impactful storylines for both operational and executive audiences
- Partner with a highly collaborative analytics team to deliver insights that drive data‑informed decisions across the NBCU Media Group

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative fields
- 1+ years of experience with querying and analyzing large complex data sets, data visualization, and data storytelling.
- Proficient with analytical and data visualization tools (SQL, BigQuery, Databricks, Python, Tableau, or equivalent tools)
- Well versed in Microsoft Office applications with significant experience working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to data quality, with the ability to troubleshoot inconsistencies and ensure accuracy.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience using data analytics techniques for a wide variety of uses cases, including customer segmentation and reporting on key performance indicators
- Knowledge of data science techniques
- Understanding of analytics for direct-to-consumer businesses (video streaming, eCommerce, or subscription)
- Strategic knowledge of the streaming & linear business and media ecosystem
- Strategic thinker with the ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data
- Ability to identify, distill, and articulate clear and actionable stories, insights and recommendations from a variety of data points and sources
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision and purpose
- Ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn
Additional Requirements
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time
