Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking an Analyst for their Insights & Measurement team to assist in developing data and insights-driven research solutions to support ad sales objectives, educate the marketplace, and favorably position the NBCU streaming portfolio within the larger streaming space.
Platform positioning is only as strong as the insights behind it. Your work will directly influence how we articulate the Peacock and NBCU streaming endpoints (Free Ad-Supported TV and Social) value proposition, how we differentiate in a crowded landscape, and how we measure the impact of our strategic choices. You will help ensure the NBCU streaming products not only compete—but stand out.
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for producing reporting insights of NBCU streaming based on viewership and consumption data, as well as position against competitors in the space. You’ll also collaborate closely across Insights & Measurement, Sales, Marketing and other internal teams to effectively position NBCU within the media landscape.
Ideally, you will have experience using research and analytics to develop data-driven business insights and have a passion for connecting metrics to meaning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Insights & Measurement team in creating actionable insights and compelling narratives to support Peacock, FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) and Social sales efforts
- Help maintain weekly, quarterly, and ad hoc research reports leveraged by the wider team in developing “sellable” insights and educating the marketplace
- Collaborate with individual sales team members to develop insights/stories to support individual client initiatives
- Leverage first-party, syndicated, and custom research tools to surface audience insights and explore shifts in media consumption behaviors and preferences
- Develop timely content, consumer, and category insights to address ad-hoc requests, particularly related to digital and social partnerships (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, FAST channel distribution and emerging video partnerships)
- Collaborate with research counterparts in other functions of the organization to infuse their internal knowledge into sales-focused narratives
- Contribute to larger NBCU initiatives and thought leadership when needed
Qualifications
- 1+ year of work experience or a comparable internship at a media company, agency, sales organization, or in a research capacity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Communications, Marketing, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong computer skills, particularly working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (formatting data, creating charts/graphs, using formulas and pivot tables)
- Ability to think both analytically and narratively
- Ability to balance multiple projects and make priority adjustments as deadlines shift
- Comfortable with collaboration, and willing to partner with fast-paced, high-performing sales and marketing teams
- Comfortable being client-facing and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- Background in analytics and/or media math preferred
- Prior experience with media tools (e.g., Nielsen NPower, comScore, SCR Talkwalker) and other syndicated research applications (e.g., MRI, GWI, YouGov) a plus
- Knowledge of Tableau a plus

Additional Requirements
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $62,000 - $80,000
