Job Description
NBC’S Integrated Design Team is seeking a Creative Director, Launch and Campaign Design to join our award-winning in-house design team. This candidate will be tasked with directing the development and implementation of creative assets needed to bring our shows to market.
This role requires a hands-on, creative thinker capable of conceptualizing, directing, and launching creative solutions. This includes leading creatives, internal partners, and outside vendors in the development and execution of print, motion, digital, social, outdoor, and on-platform advertising. This candidate will report to the VP of Launch and Campaign Design and must be comfortable working in-close collaboration with other Creative Directors, Designers, Production Artists, Writers, Project Managers, Brand Strategy, Social Media Managers, Paid Media Managers and senior level Executives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Title Marketing
- Develop and direct marketing concepts and campaigns for NBC shows/specials
- Direct teams of Designers, Animators, Writers, Production Artists, and Retouchers in the day-to-day development of creative promoting NBC Shows
- Collaborate closely with partners on our Editorial, Brand Strategy, Video Creative, Social and Media teams.
- Direct crew & talent during on-set stills and motion capture to be used in campaign creative development/production
Creative Leadership
- Develop and present clear, compelling presentations that showcase creative solutions and campaign ideas to senior level executives
- Conduct creative reviews with internal teams and external vendors, translating executive feedback into actionable and clear creative direction
- Willingness, confidence, and technical skills to develop creative on your own, not only to effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and campaigns for concept approval, but also to build and finalize working files at critical moments for use in real-world production and consumer-facing media
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in title creative direction, directing teams of creatives with varying skillsets across multiple projects with variable timelines and deliverables
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent work experience within an entertainment environment (agency and/or client-side experience mandatory)
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
- Highly conceptual thinker, able to inspire and lead internal and external design teams in the development of show launch campaigns.
- A keen typographic and compositional eye, with the ability to translate key art design into multi-platform campaigns.
- Exceptional skills in static design, and the ability to guide the translation of key art into motion
- Strong communication and presentation skills with comprehensive knowledge of Powerpoint and Figma (or at least a willingness to become a power-user)
- Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment or on your own when needed
- Proficient in design software Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat). Working knowledge of Figma, Frame.io, Microsoft Office/Teams, Sharepoint, Dropbox, Slack, Basecamp
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
